Dayton Carlson, a senior at Casteel High, closed out his last Division 2 final with an impressive distance double, clocking 1:52.34 in the 800 meters and a personal-best 4:08.07 in the 1,600 meters at the AIA Outdoor State Championships at Perry High in Gilbert. Carlson contributed 32 points to Casteel's total of 121 to capture the team title.
