Jade Kwinn, a senior at Sabino High in Tucson and a Northern Arizona signee, won the Division 3 girls javelin throw with a personal-best 151-6 (46.17m), as well as the shot put with a lifetime-best 40-6 (12.34m) at the AIA Outdoor State Championships at Desert Vista High in Phoenix. Kwinn matched the state-leading javelin of fellow senior Makayla Hunter of Chandler and is equal to No. 2 in Arizona prep history, along with matching the No. 7 mark in the country this season. Kwinn also finished third in the triple jump with a leap of 34-9.50 (10.60m), as Sabino took second overall to Snowflake by a 125-102 margin.
